Foundations · Top of layout
- The foundations are not built on to directly.
- The goal is to create eight suites of 13 cards of the same suit down from King to Ace within the tableau.
Tableau · Below foundations
- Build down regardless of suit wrapping Ace on King.
- Groups of cards in sequence down, regardless of suit, may be moved as a unit.
- As face down cards become exposed, they can be flipped over and are now available for play.
- Empty spaces can be filled with any card or legal group of cards.
- Cards are dealt to these piles from the stock, but there must be at least one card in each pile before this can occur.
Stock · Top right of layout
- After all possible moves are made, one card is dealt out to each tableau pile to create more possibilities.
- There must be at least one card in each tableau pile before the deal can be done.
- There is no redeal.
