Foundations · Top of layout
- Build in ascending sequence and in suit from Ace to King.
- Complete these piles to win the game.
Tableau · Below foundations
- Build in descending sequence and in suit.
- Ranks are not continuous: a King can't be played on an Ace.
- The top card of each column can be played on the foundations or on another tableau column.
- A sequence can be played, either in whole or in part, on another tableau column.
- Spaces can be filled with cards or sequences from other tableau columns or with cards from the waste.
Stock · Top right of layout
- Turn cards up one at a time from the stock.
- No redeal is allowed.
Waste · Left of stock
- The topmost card is available for play on the foundations and tableau.
