Foundations · Top left of layout
- The foundations are not built on to directly.
- The goal is to create eight suites of 13 cards of the same suit from King to Ace.
- Complete these piles to win the game.
Tableau · Below foundations
- Build down regardless of suit. However, it is best to try and build in suit if possible.
- Groups of cards that are built in sequence and in suit may be moved as a unit.
- Nothing can be placed on an Ace.
- As face down cards become exposed, they can be flipped over and are now available for play.
- Empty spaces can be filled with any card or legal group of cards.
Stock · Top right of layout
- After all possible moves are made, one card is dealt out to each tableau pile to create more possibilities.
- All tableau piles must contain at least one card before the deal.
Cells · Below stock
- Any one card is allowed in each cell.
