- Build up in suit from Aces to Kings on the 4 piles at the top, build down in suit from Tens to Aces to Kings on the 4 piles at the bottom.
- Move all the cards except one set of Queens and one set of Jacks to the foundations.
Queens · Center of layout
- Dealt at the start of the game, are not used.
Reserves · Below queens
- Place one Jack of each suit on these piles.
Stock · Top right of layout
- Turn over 1 card to waste.
- There are four redeals.
Waste · Below stock
- The topmost card is available for play on the foundations and tableau.
