American Toad is a solitaire game played with two decks of cards.
At the top of the layout you have foundation piles. The initial card will vary and is the lowest ranking card.

American Toad Solitaire requires that you build the foundations up in suit from the base card to the rank just below the base card. You may build Aces on top of Kings when it is necessary.
As most solitaire games, to win, you must move all the cards to the foundation piles.

There are eight tableau piles (one card each, face up) below the foundations, and the rule is that you build them down in suit.
When it is necessary, you may build Kings on top of Aces.
Place the topmost card onto the foundations or the other tableau stacks.
Note that a group of cards can be moved to another tableau pile (on condition that the cards are in sequence down by suit).

Use the cards from the Reserve or the Waste to fill the empty spaces in the Tableau. When the reserve pile is exhausted, you can fill the empty spots by any card.
The Reserve is at the right side of the layout, and you can move the topmost card to the foundations and tableaus.
The rule is that you can turn up only one card at a time from the Stock (Top right of layout).
There is one redeal in the American Toad Solitaire.

The layout of the game also consists of the Waste (below the Stock). The topmost card form the pile is available for you to place on the foundations and tableau piles.
