Avenue solitaire is a single player game played with two standard decks (104 cards).
As in most solitaire games, the goal is to move all the playing cards to the foundations.
You have four foundations at the top left of the layout, and the rule is that you build the piles up in suit from Ace to King.
The layout of the game also includes eight tableau piles (six cards each, below the foundations). The Avenue solitaire requires that you build the piles down in alternating colors.
The topmost card of each stack can be placed onto the foundations, the tableau or to the reserve cells.
You may move a group of cards in the proper sequence from pile to pile on condition that there is enough space where the cards could be moved individually.
You may fill empty spaces with any card.
The four reserve cells (at the top right of the layout) can be used as storage space for cards.
Each storage cell can contain only one card at a time, and you are allowed to move the cards to the foundations or to the tableau piles.
There is no redeal in this kind of solitaire.
